About the Imani Foster Scholarship Fund Application

As part of our impactful programming, Fostering High-Quality Education for All gives away $500.00 scholarships to African American High School Seniors who attend accredited private schools in Central Florida with a 3.5 Grade Point Average or Higher. As a former 20-year educator, Rashaan Foster has been blessed to help kids get into great colleges, guide them to successful careers, and have lasting impacts that have touched many lives. Throughout the years of educating thousands of other people's kids, my daughter Imani Foster has been the example of what I wanted my students to be and more. Imani graduated from James Madison High School (owned by Ashworth College) at 16 years old with a 3.9 GPA. In addition, she graduated from Valencia College with two Associates Degrees in Business Administration Management and Small Business Management. In her name, we want to recognize hard-working African American Seniors, particularly in Private Schools, who do not have guidance counselors and college counseling resources that public schools have. Through consultation with school administration, after-school events, community outreach, and parents, students can submit an online application and essay on why they should be chosen. Applications are due April 30th every year, and the winners are announced on the first Friday of every May.
